This is another favorite basket design, and so useful with the lower front and higher back. The practicality of the open storage, angled basket can't be understated! I'm only giving it 4 stars because the MOST useful size of this basket, as well as the most stable for holding books, is this basket design in the 13 1/4" x 13 1/4" size <-- this basket can still be found as a Bread Basket in the kitchen section of Peterboro, but you'd have to remove the wooden hinged lid to hold book collections as the basket is no longer open storage. I have used our 13 1/4" x 13 1/4" angled open storage basket for several years now to hold collections of books on a shelf (we are homeschoolers). This basket is ideal because the basket contains the books, while the lower front means that a book can be removed easily. The wide, square base is stable and means the basket doesn't tip. Peterboro....PLEASE bring back the 13 1/4" x 13 1/4" angled open storage basket!! Until then, this basket would make a good substitute, although probably not as stable without the square base, and certainly wouldn't hold as many books at 9 1/4" wide. I do love the design though!

This basket is a nice size and it will have many uses as well...In my home, I have this particular basket in my laundry closet with all my laundry products from tallest in back to the smallest in front..I also put a decorative kitchen towel inside to show the contrast of the basket...I like seeing the baskets in every part of my home..:>)Thanks again Peterboro for your wonderful baskets..Rita Bright, Ohio
